Wungening Aboriginal Corporation: Aboriginal Engagement Officer

Wungening Aboriginal Corporation are seeking an Aboriginal Engagement Officer – Beyond Youth Justice.

The Aboriginal Engagement Officer will play a vital role in supporting Aboriginal young people engaged with the youth justice system. You’ll walk alongside young people in the Perth metro region and at Banksia Hill Detention Centre, offering guidance, encouragement, and practical support as they work toward healing and rehabilitation.

This role supports the delivery of group activities, workshops, and one-on-one engagement, using culture as a foundation to foster connection, healing, and rehabilitation. It requires strong communication skills, experience in youth or community services, and a deep understanding of Aboriginal culture, identity, and the impacts of intergenerational trauma.

This is a full-time role based in Gosnells, at a 12-month contract. The annual salary is $97,715.89 plus superannuation.
